- Associated Press News Feed:
The majority of our news content is received directly
from the Associated Press, so the stories you would read
through your local news paper, you can now obtain immediately
via your wireless device and/or email.
- Email Delivery: You can
choose to receive articles via email at the very moment
(or soon after) they hit the AP wires. These are the same
articles you'll see published in the national and local
papers. You now have the option of having an article sent
to your wireless device, email, or both. The headline
is sent to your wireless device, while the entire article
is mailed to your email address.
- National Weather Service Forecasts:
We have a fully functional data feed from the National
Weather Service; this means the daily weather forecasts
you receive are straight from the NWS. Also, if there
is a weather alert currently in effect for your area,
we will prepend the alert message to the weather forecast
that we send to your wireless device. And yes, you can
also receive the entire NWS forecast via email if you
so choose. Finally, you now have the flexibility to choose
the exact time(s) you wish to receive a forecast (in quarter-hour
increments); just tell us up to four times during the
day or night when you'd like to receive a forecast, and
we'll deliver the most current one to you at those times.
If you want a forecast at 6:15am and 5:00pm on weekdays,
but only desire to receive it at 9:00am on weekends, your
wish is our command!
- International News: Leveraging
our AP news feed, we can deliver over 100 International
News articles/day. For most people, that would be a bit
too much reading, so we've introduced the option that
empowers you to select only those regions or countries
for which you're interested in receiving news. Do you
want to know what is going on in Iraq right now? Then
select to receive news for that country only - or Germany,
or Jamaica, or Haiti.... We allow selection of literally
every country in the world, plus news coming directly
from the United Nations and Vatican City.
- Lottery: You have the
ability to receive the daily lottery numbers for any and
all states of your choosing.
- National/Presidential Emergency
message: Such a bulletin has never yet been issued,
but if one ever is, we want you to have the option to
know about it immediately on your wireless device and/or
email.
- Sports Scores: You can
receive sports scores, sports articles, and final game
scores for any and all Professional teams of your choosing!
- Stock Ticker Updates: Receive
just the end-of-day stock market closing numbers or keep
a pulse on the stock market all day long, through one
of our in-day update options.
